Grooms can also get nervous and are not sure what they should be doing with their hands or how to make themselves look relax. Here are great tips to help you groom get into the groove of showing that Power Pose.

1. NO LOUNGING - SIT ON THE EDGE :
Have the groom sit on the very edge of the chair, bench or step that you’re using. This naturally encourages him not to lean back and “lounge”. He’ll have to sit up and lean forward to be comfortable.

2. SHOULDERS BACK :This is important for guys that have poor posture. You may have to ask your groom to pull his shoulders back and bring his chest forward. You can tell him that this will highlight how broad his shoulders are. You never want to say that you’re making him look “more broad” because that insinuates that he’s not broad to begin with.

3. THE LEFT ARM (Or whichever arm is opposite of the light):The left arm needs to lean forward and rest the forearm on the thigh! Have him lean at the waist instead of slumping his back.

4. THE RIGHT ARM ADJUSTMENTThe right arm needs to be back on the opposite thigh or in the pocket. This will pull his right shoulder back naturally and create the angle that we need in the shoulders!

Grooms and Groomsmen

This is where they need to feel they are in their element. I like to ask my groom and groomsmen how they know each other, what hobbies they like to do together because its those things that I like to incorporate to show their natural fun selves with each other. My client Devon and his groomsmen favorite hobby is playing Dungeons and Dragons. I connected with them cause I too play D&D. It just so happened that there was a party member that happen to have dice we use to play the game in his car, so naturally incorporated this in his picture.

Because they felt so connected with each other and myself I was able to add some cool power pose with the group. I had placed the groom in the center and the groomsmen on each side creating what I call the Mafia Pose, with all men posing the same with hands crossed. Definitely a Power Pose. How dashing they all look.
